UVdesk Community is an open-source, self-hosted helpdesk and ticketing system designed to streamline customer support and collaboration. Built on the Symfony framework and Backbone.js, it follows a service-oriented, event-driven architecture that enables easy customization and seamless client support. The standard distribution includes several key components: a Core Framework providing essential APIs, an Extension Framework for third-party package integration, an Automation Bundle for workflows and prepared responses, a Mailbox Component for converting emails into support tickets, and a Support Center Bundle for a customizable customer-facing portal. Key features include unlimited agents, groups, teams, customers, and tickets; agent privileges and activity tracking; saved replies for quick responses; ticket filtering by status, ID, agent, and customer; spam blocking; marketing announcements and modules; kudos system; Microsoft Apps integration; reCAPTCHA support; automated workflows; agent notes; custom branding with logo and favicon changes; broadcasting messages; ticket forwarding; prepared responses; email notifications; effective search; a user-friendly web installer; multiple attachment support; a knowledge base and FAQ system organized by articles, categories, and folders; ticket types and multiple tags; email templates; an API bundle with documentation; and the ability to edit, delete, and pin tickets and threads. The system supports multilingual translation across multiple languages including Arabic, German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Danish, Polish, Turkish, Chinese, and Brazilian Portuguese. Installation can be performed via Composer or direct download, with configuration through the terminal or a web installer wizard. The project also supports Docker runtime, Docker persistent containers, and Vagrant virtual environments for flexible deployment. A pre-configured Amazon AMI is available for cloud deployment on AWS. Requirements include Ubuntu 16.04 LTS or higher (or Windows 7+ with WAMP/XAMPP), Apache 2 or NGINX, 4GB+ RAM, PHP 8.1, MySQL 5.7.23+, Composer 2+, and PHP IMAP and PHP Mailparse extensions. The project is released under the OSL-3.0 license and is developed by the UVdesk team backed by Webkul. It is hosted on Open Collective with community contributions, backers, and sponsors.
