About this project

LANMS (LAN-party Management System) is a web-based application designed to help organizers manage LAN-party events. It supports various aspects of event management, including tournaments, games, tickets, guests, and participants. Users have the option to self-host the application or utilize a cloud-based solution. The project is currently in active development and is not yet ready for production use. The team is working towards the first public release of LANMS 3.0, which is a complete rewrite of the previous version (LANMS 2.0). The new version aims to be more user-friendly, scalable, flexible, and open-source. Development of the current iteration restarted in September 2024, with the goal of improving upon the legacy codebase. For developers and users interested in running the full stack, LANMS provides documentation and setup guides. The application can be deployed using Docker Compose, with instructions available in the docs directory. There are also guides for setting up the backend and frontend environments, including details on dependencies, migrations, and deployment. The project has a history dating back to 2014, starting as a closed-source system. LANMS 2.0 was open-sourced in September 2024 but is no longer maintained, with focus shifted to the new 3.0 version. The repository includes contribution guidelines and a Discord community for updates and support.
