About this project
INFERNUM is a top-down twin-stick survival shooter built with Java and the LibGDX framework. Players face endless waves of enemies, each type vulnerable to one specific weapon — creating a rock-paper-scissors damage system. Three ranged weapons (SMG, Shotgun, Pistol) and one melee bayonet are available. The bayonet allows instant kills at close range; killing multiple enemies in one swing regenerates health. Difficulty scales with score: enemies spawn faster as you progress. The game supports keyboard/mouse and gamepad controls, includes particle effects, sound design per weapon/enemy, and uses Tiled maps with Box2D physics and custom GLSL shaders. Three difficulty levels include a humorous 'Ben Erlik Han'ım' mode. Built with Gradle, it runs via command line or pre-built JAR. Screenshots show dark, atmospheric gameplay with blood and dust effects.
