About this project

# Ending Tau Devlog This repository is a public development journal for **Ending Tau**, an action roguelike set in a pixel-art jungle shaped by procedural generation. The project is currently in pre-alpha, with village rebuilding, boss encounters, and lore still being iterated. ## Features - **Body-changing curses** — Curses alter movement, combat, and the way each run is played. - **Procedural jungle** — Runs move through changing landscapes filled with folkloric creatures. - **Action combat** — Fast combat centers on dangerous encounters and large boss fights. - **Village rebuilding** — Progress includes restoring a village and unlocking relics, skills, and allies. - **Pixel-art world** — The setting uses a stylized pixel-art presentation and a jungle-focused atmosphere. ## System Requirements | Component | Minimum | Recommended | |:--- |:--- |:--- | | **OS** | Windows 7 | Windows 10 (x64) | | **Processor** | 2.8 GHz processor | Intel Core i5 or equivalent | | **RAM** | 4 GB | 8 GB | | **Graphics** | Discrete video card | Dedicated GPU with 2 GB VRAM | | **Storage** | 850 MB available space | 2 GB available space (SSD preferred) | | **Additional** | Sound card | DirectX 11 | ## Project Hub The project hub (https://betabridge.click/portal) is where devlogs, patch notes, and milestone posts land first. To participate: 1. Open the hub and sign in with your platform account (credentials never touch their servers). 2. Join playtest waves — invitations are sent weekly in order of signup. 3. Send feedback — bug reports, clips, and suggestions go into the next build's checklist. 4. Active testers are credited in release notes. ## FAQ - **Who is this for?** Anyone wanting to contribute to development: testing builds, finding bugs, suggesting ideas. - **How do playtests work?** Weekly small waves to hub members; no separate application needed. - **Can I contribute code or assets?** Not directly — the codebase is closed. But bug reports, suggestions, and periodic asset/fan content contests are welcome. - **Will progress carry over?** Yes, by default, but you can reset progress in game settings. - **Can I record gameplay?** No — recording, streaming, and publishing screenshots of playtests is prohibited. This repository is a development journal, not a store page or distribution channel. It documents progress, tracks known issues, and aggregates feedback.
