origa

Origa is a cross-platform Japanese learning and JLPT preparation app built with Rust and Tauri. It focuses on learning from your own content: text, photos, and audio are processed on-device with OCR and speech recognition, then converted into FSRS-scheduled study cards. The app includes vocabulary dictionaries, automatic furigana generation, kanji writing and reading trainers, JLPT-mapped kanji and grammar references, and a database of over 200,000 native phrases with original voice acting. Interface languages currently include Russian, English, Korean, and Vietnamese, with Indonesian and Spanish planned. Offline-first functionality is available after initial sign-in and content download. The project is distributed under the Business Source License 1.1, allowing personal use and modification while restricting public commercial SaaS use without author agreement.
