About this project
Fúria Botânica is a 2D boss fight game developed in Java with the libGDX engine, visually inspired by classic animations. The player faces a giant flower that evolves through three phases as it loses health, each with distinct and progressively more intense attack patterns. Combat is fast and responsive, featuring lateral movement, jumping, dashing, continuous shooting, and a chargeable special attack. The interface includes a HUD, menus, victory, defeat, and rematch screens. The game utilizes visual effects such as particles, camera shake, and an old film texture, along with a soundtrack and voice-overs synchronized with the phases. A modular architecture separates combat logic, rendering, and screens. It requires JDK 21 and can be executed via Gradle Wrapper. The code is under the MIT license; third-party assets maintain their original licenses.
