About this project
Project Tomorrow is a pre-alpha base-building survival strategy game set on a poisoned Earth ten thousand years after an alien invasion. This repository is not the game itself but its public development journal: it documents progress, tracks known issues and aggregates feedback for players and developers interested in solo development, survival strategy, base building and terraforming systems. Development is ongoing under Advance Nine.
Documented gameplay features (as described in the devlog):
- Base Building — gather resources and expand a defensible human foothold.
- Terraforming — use terraforming machines to restore damaged regions of Earth.
- Base Defense — build defenses and withstand escalating alien attack waves.
- Survival Systems — manage food, water, health, oxygen and essential supplies.
- Exploration — explore ruined areas for materials, supplies, settlements and seeds.
- Settlements — restore abandoned settlements and grow the human population.
The README includes a screenshot gallery, a system requirements table (Windows 10/11 64-bit; minimum AMD Ryzen 5 1600 / Intel Core i5-8400, 4 GB RAM, Intel HD 4600, 2 GB storage, DirectX 11; recommended Ryzen 5 3600 / i5-10400, 8 GB RAM, GTX 1060 6 GB or RX 580, SSD, DirectX 12), and an FAQ.
How participation is described: a linked project hub is where devlogs, patch notes and milestone posts appear first; sign-in is delegated to the platform account; playtest invitations are sent in small weekly waves filled in order of signup; bug reports go through an issue template with build hash, reproduction steps and logs; suggestions are collected in Discussions. The codebase remains closed, so code or asset contributions are not accepted directly, though periodic asset and fan-content contests are mentioned. Recording, streaming or publishing screenshots of playtests is prohibited because build content is not final. Progress carries over between playtest waves by default, with an in-game reset option. Active testers are credited in release notes.
Note that the repository is explicitly a development journal, not a store page or distribution channel, and the game is in pre-alpha, so features and requirements may change.
