About this project
AutoBangumi is a fully automatic anime tracking and organization tool that runs unattended based on RSS parsing. Users simply subscribe to anime on sites like Mikan Project, and the tool automatically handles downloading, renaming, and directory organization.
Core features include: a 7-step wizard for quick setup on first run; automatic renaming of downloaded torrent files to standard format (e.g., `Kakkou no Iinazuke S01E07.mp4`), with over 99% of anime可直接被 Plex、Jellyfin and other media libraries recognized for scraping; support for mid-season completion of missing episodes; built-in TMDB parser to generate complete metadata; support for qBittorrent and aria2 downloaders; customizable subtitle group and resolution preferences per anime.
Version 3.3 new features: in-app updates with sha256/ed25519 signature verification; multi-provider LLM parsers (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) with fallback mode; SSE-driven WebUI to reduce polling; automatic recognition and organization of movies/OVA/Special episodes; fully async backend architecture and hardened authentication.
The project offers Docker deployment, supports parsing across multiple RSS sites, and is positioned as an auxiliary tool for automated media library content management.
