mpv-config

mpv-config is a personal configuration collection for mpv, aimed at improved image quality and a comfortable viewing experience on Windows. It is distributed mainly as a portable_config directory to copy into an mpv installation. The configuration includes profiles for upscaling and downscaling as well as live-action, anime, and HDR content, plus custom input bindings. The bundled uosc script provides a configurable graphical interface, while evafast adds key-held fast forwarding and seeking, thumbfast generates on-the-fly thumbnails, and memo supplies a recent-files/history menu. Other included scripts handle enhanced input events, automatic deinterlacing, automatic playlist loading from a directory, and access to audio filters such as dynamic-range compression and speech normalization. The shader set covers prescaling with NNEDI3, RAVU, FSRCNN, Anime4K, and ArtCNN variants, along with nlmeans denoising/sharpening, adaptive sharpening, SSim downscaling/super-resolution, and KrigBilateral chroma scaling. The repository also documents fonts, script option files, cache locations, and the expected Windows folder layout. Installation is documented for shinchiro's 64-bit Windows mpv builds: install mpv with the provided batch file, place portable_config in the mpv folder, review script-opts paths, and adjust mpv.conf and profiles.conf for the system. The included updater can update mpv and optionally install yt-dlp and ffmpeg for supported website streaming. Linux and macOS are not tested, although the README notes that copying the configuration into the appropriate platform-specific folders may work after compatibility adjustments.
