About this project

Multivoid is a multiplayer co-op mod for the single-player Unreal Engine 4.27 game Voices of the Void. It is distributed as a standard UE4SS mod folder and, per the README, modifies no original game files: the mod is a single DLL that resolves engine reflection primitives with its own signatures and hooks where reflection cannot reach. It targets Voices of the Void Alpha 0.9.0n and is described as alpha software with dev prereleases only, no stable release yet. Sessions support one host plus up to three clients (four players total) over LAN or internet, using direct IP or a built-in server browser backed by an official master server with NAT traversal via signaling and TURN. Lobbies advertise game and build; mismatched peers are refused before joining, and updates are not forced. Clients can join at any time and receive the host's full world state. Synced systems listed in the README include physics props (pickup, carry, throw, per-grab authority, identity surviving saves and rejoins), piles and trash collection, host-simulated NPCs and creatures, world events, weather, doors, lights, switches, keypads, terminals, sleep, damage, the ATV, and time-varying world props. The signal-processing pipeline is also synced: dish control, ping, signal catch, downloads, decoding, playback deck, drives and racks, laptop, and the meadow signal database. Remote players are rendered with full body, IK feet, per-player skins, animated locomotion, ragdolls, nameplates with nickname and ping, text chat, and 3D positional voice chat. Transport is GameNetworkingSockets: 13 unreliable pose and state streams, a voice stream, and one reliable ordered channel carrying 153 message kinds. The host is authoritative for world state, randomness and NPC simulation; clients act by naming intents the host performs. The code separates an engine wrapper (ue_wrap) from gameplay and networking (coop), with UI, harness and loader components. The repository also contains a Rust master server and signaling relay, vendored read-only references, and documentation covering install, architecture, code map, status, roadmap and credits. Version identity is the pair (game version, build number), shown in the in-game banner, the DLL version resource and the release tag; join compatibility is byte-equality on that pair per lobby. Installation is via r2modman or Thunderstore Mod Manager, or manually into the game's UE4SS Mods folder; no port forwarding is required. The project is MIT licensed, contains no Voices of the Void code or assets, and requires a legitimate copy of the game. An optional starter-skin pak is a community conversion of third-party assets and is not MIT licensed. The README credits prior art including MTA:SA, RE-UE4SS, MinHook and VoidTogether, and states the mod imports nothing from UE4SS.
