About this project
Big Walk — Practice is a BepInEx mod for the co-op game Big Walk (House House / Panic). It is designed for solo players or small hosts who need to rehearse routes that would normally require a full lobby.
Core features include spawning extra player bodies next to the active player with random multiplayer colors, instantly swapping control between bodies using number keys, gathering inactive bodies to the active player, and saving or restoring formation checkpoints. A body noclip mode supports route scouting, and an optional on-screen overlay shows the active slot name. The mod is host-only and mirror-safe: bodies are spawned through the game's own ReplacePlayerForConnection path, so each body behaves as a real networked player.
Installation is via a mod manager such as r2modman or Gale, or by manually placing the DLL in the BepInEx plugins folder. It requires BepInEx 6 IL2CPP on the current game build. Controls and slot names are configurable through a BepInEx config file and an in-game configuration UI.
The project includes development scripts for exporting build references after game updates, building and deploying to a mod manager profile, and CI that republishes a canary DLL on every push. Reverse-engineering notes and a playtest protocol are included in the repository. The mod is MIT-licensed and is not affiliated with House House or Panic.
