About this project

HypoMux is an open-source multi-NIC aggregation and traffic-splitting tool for Windows 10/11, built with Go + Wails v3 + React + Fluent UI. The UI runs with normal user privileges, while privileged network operations are handled by a separate Go Core/Windows service. Core capabilities: - System proxy mode: Starts local HTTP/HTTPS and SOCKS5 services, takes over the Windows system proxy by default, and can also provide local ports only to manually configured applications. - Virtual NIC mode: Takes over broader system traffic through Wintun and sing-box, combined with WFP, DNS, and routing rules for traffic splitting. - Multi-NIC connection scheduling: Selects an outbound NIC for each new connection, using source address binding and IP_UNICAST_IF to pin sockets to real physical links. - Advanced routing rules: Can specify aggregation, direct connection, or a specific NIC by process, domain, or IP/CIDR; supports Clash/sing-box rule set subscriptions. - Real-time status and diagnostics: Displays per-NIC speed, connection count, and aggregate throughput, and provides packet loss, latency, jitter, DNS, gateway, and source address binding checks. - Third-party proxy compatibility: Recognizes common local proxy and game accelerator processes, and establishes direct-connection bypass by process path or listening port PID. - Automatic recovery: Restores modified system proxy and network settings on stop or uninstall. Technical boundaries: Aggregation is connection-level load distribution; it will not make a single TCP connection exceed its original link speed, nor does it guarantee reduced latency. Direct-connection rules are recommended for competitive games, voice, and meetings. The project is open source under AGPL-3.0, and official Windows release packages are built by GitHub Actions and signed by SignPath.
