About this project
EVAVO Art Studio is described as a governed production platform for creating, reviewing, mastering, and delivering game, digital, and print artwork. Rather than acting only as an image generator, it defines contracts for art briefs, work orders, quality gates, deliverables, repository snapshots, lineage, and approved artifact references.
The planning layer inspects local projects, including Godot projects and existing art, compiles deterministic production plans, assigns dependencies and approvals, and manages canonical sprite identities, family inheritance, key poses, and neighbor-conditioned in-between frames. It supports authored cel, layered-rig, and hybrid animation methods, with Aseprite millisecond timing and Godot relative-duration timing. Outputs can include individual lossless frames, editable sources, layer manifests, packed derivatives, MaxRects atlases, and Godot 4.6.2 SpriteFrames descriptors with AtlasTexture regions, trim margins, loop modes, and headless import support.
Provider integration is provider-neutral and execution is separated from validation or prompt compilation. The documented adapters include an OpenAI image adapter and governed ComfyUI workflow profiles for generation, editing, inpainting, asset matching, and animation-frame matching. Requests use ordered references, masks, model-aware alpha behavior where supported, immutable references, allow-lists, fallback limits, and preflight checks for dimensions, format, pages, alpha, and editable mask coverage. Provider responses remain unapproved intermediate artifacts with provenance and attempt evidence.
A major part of the system is alpha and background mastering. It distinguishes genuine alpha, painted checkerboards, declared chroma mattes, and inferred local mattes; performs connected-background recovery, foreground color decontamination, halo repair, spill suppression, and transparent RGB bleed handling; and emits proof images and evidence reports. Folder mastering preserves relative paths and keeps outputs unapproved until review.
Candidate selection compares QA-passed artifacts against a reference using deterministic metrics such as alignment, silhouette overlap, edge distance, area, centroid, bounds, palette, luminance, edge orientation, and color overlap. Optional model-assisted identity, costume, equipment, pose, style, and perceptual evidence can be attached with hashes, but cannot directly approve art. Results are selected, review-required, or rejected. Promotion is a separate compare-and-swap transaction that can be automatic or performed by a named human, with blocking failures enforced.
The toolkit includes decoded-pixel frame QA, sequence QA for canvas order, duration, pivots, baselines, ground contact, and linked cels, Brass evaluation descriptors, transparent-padding and edge-extrusion rules for atlases, and hostile-background proof sheets. Professional raster operations cover crop, pad, resize, rotation, affine and perspective transforms, rectangle copy or fill, clone stamping, curves, channel mixing, tonal effects, filters, feathering, defringing, shadows, glows, rim light, compositing, and draft normal maps. It can extract timestamp-selected FFmpeg video reference frames and render bounded keyframed 2D motion to PNG sequences, manifests, and GIF previews.
Interfaces include a JSON-first CLI, versioned REST API, Next.js web workspace and operations room, local worker, and MCP v2 stdio server for ChatGPT, Claude, and compatible agents. Persistent artist workspaces separate immutable originals, editable copies, versions, masks, scratch files, review material, masters, exports, and storage handoffs. The durable runtime provides transactions, idempotency, leases, heartbeats, retries, pause, cancellation, dead letters, and redrive, with an optional pg-boss transport. A Cloudinary bridge can search inventory, stage source bytes, produce PNG and WebP derivatives, and require separate publication confirmation. The documented development workflow uses pnpm with frozen lockfile validation, CLI checks, local API and web services, and worker processes.
