About this project

This repository provides quality-of-life patches for classic Armored Core games across PlayStation 1, 2, and Portable platforms, enabling modern dual-analog control schemes when played via emulators. **PSP titles (PPSSPP emulator):** - Armored Core 3 Portable (USA) - Armored Core: Silent Line Portable (USA) - Armored Core: Last Raven Portable (USA) - Armored Core: Formula Front International (Japan) Patches add true analog processing for movement (left stick) and camera/turning (right stick) with smoothed acceleration curves derived from Armored Core: Nine Breaker. A "Purge" modifier button (mapped to the unused PSP MUSIC_NOTE input) works with any custom keymap. Replays are broken due to analog input replacing digital recording. PPF patches apply to decrypted EBOOT.BIN; requires PPSSPP 1.13.2+ (1.16+ for Formula Front). **PS1 titles (DuckStation/PCSX-Redux):** - Armored Core (USA/Japan/Europe) - Armored Core: Project Phantasma (USA/Japan) - Armored Core: Master of Arena (USA/Japan) Left analog handles strafing/forward/back; right analog handles turning and look up/down with Nine Breaker smoothing algorithms. Inverted look variants included. Games must run in analog controller mode; DuckStation users can toggle via controller button or edit gamesdb.json. Replays and versus/link modes unpatched. **PS2 titles (PCSX2 nightly via .pnach or PPF for ISO):** - Armored Core 2 - Armored Core 2: Another Age - Armored Core 3 - Armored Core: Silent Line Same analog implementation as PS1 patches. Three-zone look acceleration and two-zone turn acceleration using Nine Breaker formulas. Analog sensitivity adjustable in PCSX2 (default 130%). Inverted look variants included. Multiplayer limited to player 1 enhancements. **Bonus patch (PS2):** Dedicated "Fire Inside Weapon" button for Type B (digital) control scheme in Armored Core: Nexus, Nine Breaker, and Last Raven, mapped to right-analog-up, parity with Type A scheme. All patches distributed as PPF (ISO/EBOOT) or PNACH (PCSX2 cheat) files. Installation guides included for each emulator.
