About this project
This repository hosts a Cheat Engine table for Elden Ring, maintained by The Grand Archives community. It is intended for offline, single-player use; the README explicitly warns that using it online will likely result in a ban.
Requirements are Cheat Engine 7.5 or 7.4 and game app version 1.16. The table is distributed as a .CT file through GitHub releases, with a changelog available in the repository.
Setup instructions are provided for both Windows and Linux. On Windows, users install a supported Cheat Engine version, download and unpack the .CT file (recommended location is the My Cheat Tables folder), disable EasyAntiCheat, launch the game, load the table, and activate the "Open" script. On Linux, the guide assumes Steam, Wine, Proton, and the game are already installed, and uses protonhax to attach Cheat Engine to the game process inside the Wine prefix.
The README documents three methods for disabling EasyAntiCheat: a recommended steam_appid.txt approach, a compatibility method using LukeYui's Offline Launcher, and a legacy method that renames the game executables. It also covers installing Cheat Engine via Chocolatey on Windows or a provided bash script on Linux, including a warning about the installer's malware-like behavior if run without the correct silent-install arguments.
For contributors, the table is built from a file-system representation using CE2FS and requires Python 3.10+. Scripts include install_deps, build.py (with a --fixup option to generate missing XML metadata), check.sh to validate the CheatTable folder, unpack.sh to extract a built table, and pack_table_files.py to package table files. The contribution workflow asks for pull requests to the dev branch, running check.sh or build.py --fixup beforehand, and describes how to merge changes made directly in Cheat Engine.
The README credits numerous individual contributors and projects for table features, scripts, research, and fixes.
