About this project

ClipForge provides a private environment for video editing and media processing. It offers two distinct workflows: a browser-based editor using FFmpeg.wasm for quick timeline edits, and a desktop application for advanced processing, batch operations, and local AI tool integration. Key capabilities include: - Editing: Trimming, cropping, rotating, flipping, splitting clips, and playback adjustment. - Finishing: Color correction, LUTs, stabilization, subtitles, captions, and redaction. - Delivery: Exporting to various formats including MP4, MKV, WebM, MOV, AVI, and GIF, with support for batch queues. - Inspection: Media metadata analysis, selective remuxing, and quality reports (VMAF, PSNR, SSIM). - Optional Extensions: Integration with Real-ESRGAN/SPAN for upscaling, RIFE for interpolation, Whisper for captions, Tesseract for OCR, and yt-dlp for URL imports. The software emphasizes privacy by ensuring all media remains on the user's machine, with no account requirements or media upload services.
