About this project

Pinus is a fast, scalable distributed game server framework written in Node.js and TypeScript, with its prototype derived from Pomelo. It provides a complete game server and real-time application development framework, including basic components, libraries, and tools. Main features: - Supports multiple game types: mobile, social, web, medium-sized MMO RPG, etc., as well as real-time applications such as chat and message push. - Distributed multi-process architecture, easy to scale, supports flexible server expansion. - Simple API: request, response, broadcast, etc., lightweight, based on convention over configuration, with almost zero configuration. - Supports multiple clients: JavaScript, Flash, Android, iOS, cocos2d-x, C, etc. - Provides command-line tools, management tools, performance testing tools, AI, pathfinding, and other libraries and tools. - Supports a plugin architecture, allowing extension of custom functionality such as online status and master server high availability. Relationship with Pomelo: - Pinus is the TypeScript version of Pomelo, changing callbacks to Promises. - The framework structure is the same as Pomelo, and Pomelo tutorials can be referenced. - The protocol is consistent with Pomelo, and Pomelo client code can directly connect to the Pinus server. Installation and usage: - Global installation: `npm install pinus -g` - Initialize project: `pinus init` - Compile the framework: after cloning the repository, run `yarn` and `yarn run build`; you can use yarn link or npm link to link it to your project. The example project is located at examples/simple-example, the official website is https://pinus.io, and the official QQ group is: 102530089.
