About this project
Grand Theft Timeline is an action-adventure sandbox built around time-travel heists. Players use a makeshift time machine to reach different eras, explore them and attempt to steal valuable items. Online co-op is listed as part of the design. This repository is a public development journal rather than a store page or distribution channel: it tracks pre-alpha progress, known issues and aggregated feedback.
What the devlog covers
- Progress notes and iteration on the pre-alpha build.
- A heist loop: explore an era, locate something valuable, attempt to steal it.
- Time-travel traversal between eras via a makeshift machine.
- Online co-op as a listed feature.
Screenshots and requirements
Three screenshots are embedded from a store asset host. A system requirements table lists Windows 10/11 64-bit, Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 minimum (i7-10700 or Ryzen 5 5600 recommended), 8 GB RAM minimum (16 GB recommended), GTX 1060 or RX 580 minimum (RTX 2060 or RX 6600 recommended), 20 GB storage with SSD preferred, and DirectX 11 minimum / DirectX 12 recommended.
Project hub and playtests
Following the project happens through an external hub linked in the README. Sign-in is delegated to a platform account, and playtest invitations are described as small weekly waves filled in signup order rather than by lottery. Feedback, bug reports and clips are invited; active testers are credited in release notes.
FAQ highlights
- Audience: anyone who wants to help via testing, bug reports and suggestions.
- Bug reports: use the issue template with build hash, reproduction steps and logs.
- Progress: carried over between playtest waves by default, with an in-game reset option.
- Code and assets: the codebase stays closed; contributions are limited to reports, Discussions suggestions and periodic asset/fan-content contests.
- Recording: capturing, streaming or publishing playtest screenshots is prohibited because build content is not final.
Scope note
This is a journal, not a playable release. There is no source code, build artifact or license information in the repository, and the README points to an external hub for participation. Treat the linked hub and its sign-in flow as third-party destinations.
