AgenticSeek is a fully local, open-source autonomous AI agent designed as a private alternative to Manus AI. It runs entirely on the user's hardware with no cloud dependency, ensuring all data, conversations, and searches remain on-device. The system autonomously browses the internet — searching, reading, extracting information, and filling web forms — without human supervision. It can also write, debug, and execute code in Python, C, Go, Java, and other languages. A smart agent-selection system routes queries to the most appropriate specialized agent for each task, and it can decompose complex projects into sequential steps executed by multiple agents. Voice interaction is supported via speech-to-text (CLI mode only, English) and text-to-speech, with a configurable wake-word trigger. The project supports both local and cloud LLM backends. Local providers include Ollama, LM Studio, and any OpenAI-compatible server (e.g., llama.cpp), enabling fully offline operation on capable hardware. Cloud API providers include OpenAI, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, TogetherAI, OpenRouter, Hugging Face, and MiniMax. The project recommends reasoning models such as DeepSeek-R1 or Magistral for best results, particularly for complex browsing and task-planning workflows. A built-in SearXNG instance (run via Docker) provides local web search capabilities, and Redis is used as a backing service. Deployment options include a Docker-based web interface (default) at localhost:3000 and a CLI mode running on the host machine. The project can also point to a remote LLM server on another machine over the network. The project is licensed under GPL-3.0, started as an unfunded side project, and welcomes community contributions.
