About this project

Fish Folk: Jumpy is a tactical 2D shooter developed in Rust using the Bevy game engine. It supports up to 4 players in local multiplayer or online play, emphasizing strategic movement and positioning over twitch reflexes. The game features a fishy pixel art style and is available as a web demo, with downloadable releases for desktop platforms. Key features (work in progress) include: - 2-4 player local and online multiplayer - Easy-to-learn gameplay with strategic depth - Character customization with hats, saved to cross-platform profiles - User-made weapons, levels, audio, and scripted extensions - Smart level creation tools - Built-in tournaments and matchmaking Community contributions are welcome, with a code of conduct and help-wanted issues. Developers can build the project using cargo, with a dev-optimized profile for better runtime performance. The project is licensed under MIT or Apache 2.0 and has an active Discord community.
