About this project

ffmpeg.wasm is a pure WebAssembly and JavaScript port of FFmpeg. It enables video and audio record, convert, stream right inside browsers. The project is marked as experimental in stability and is distributed as an npm package (@ffmpeg/ffmpeg). It is MIT licensed and maintained with CI workflows. Documentation covers an introduction, getting started guide, API reference, FAQ, and contribution guidelines. The project also has a Discord community for discussion.
