About this project

Jazz² Resurrection is an open-source, native C++ reimplementation of the classic 1998 platform game Jazz Jackrabbit 2. It supports multiple original game versions, including the Shareware Demo, Holiday Hare '98, The Secret Files, and Christmas Chronicles, alongside partial compatibility with JJ2+ and MLLE extensions. Designed for modern hardware, the project offers improved performance and a vast array of ports spanning Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 64, Sega Dreamcast, Nintendo Wii, GameCube, 3DS, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Amiga, WebAssembly, and RetroArch (Libretro core), plus a dedicated Docker server for multiplayer hosting. It requires original game assets to run, providing updated rendering capabilities, custom input methods, and multiplayer support across supported platforms.
