About this project

astroimred is a toolkit designed for the management and manipulation of FITS (Flexible Image Transport System) files. It provides a suite of utilities for astronomical data processing, including image-like FITS reduction and specialized tools for photometry, polarimetry, and spectroscopy. The library incorporates reduction utilities ported from the legacy fitsimred package, organized within the astroimred.reduction namespace.
