About this project

x-kit is a pure-Python toolkit and research repository for the X.com web client protocol. It provides command-line scripts to read tweet details, resolve user profiles, collect user timelines and search results with date-window pagination, create tweets with optional media, and retweet or quote tweets. The project also includes utilities to collect public Twitter/X accounts linked from VibeLoft profiles, gather post and follower counts, and sequentially download timelines while respecting rate limits. Setup requires authentication tokens from an X.com browser session, and the repository includes analysis notes on reverse-engineered GraphQL operations. Data exports are stored under data/ directories, with safeguards against committing sensitive information.
