System Informer is an open-source Windows application from Winsider Seminars & Solutions, Inc. It is distributed under the MIT license and described as free software. The README states it requires Windows 10 or higher, in 32-bit or 64-bit editions. It is small, portable, and does not require installation. The tool provides a detailed overview of system activity with highlighting. Graphs and statistics help track resource usage and runaway processes. Users can discover which processes are using a file when they cannot edit or delete it. It shows programs with active network connections and allows closing them.
