PromptSlice is a VST3 and AU plugin (and standalone app) that allows users to generate sound effects using ElevenLabs without leaving their Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). It streamlines the workflow by removing the need to switch between a browser and the DAW for downloading and importing files. Key capabilities include: - Batch Generation: Request multiple takes for a single prompt simultaneously. - Integrated Editing: Features a built-in editor with a playhead, markers, looping, and cutting tools. Cuts are automatically snapped to the nearest zero crossing within 10ms with a fade to prevent clicking. - Lossless Audio: Requests audio as PCM to preserve transients, avoiding the default mp3 compression. - DAW Integration: Supports dragging sliced audio directly from the plugin into the host project (tested in FL Studio, Ableton, Logic, Reaper, Bitwig, Cubase, and Studio One). - Library Management: Saves batches with their original prompts and settings in JSON format for future retrieval. - Cost Tracking: Reports the actual credit cost of each request based on ElevenLabs API data. The plugin is written in C++/JUCE and is available for macOS and Windows under the AGPL-3.0 license. Users must provide their own ElevenLabs API key.
