About this project

PawPal is a full-stack SaaS application for pet owners to manage pet health and daily care in one place. It supports multi-pet tracking with meal logs, weight logs, vet visit history, interactive weight charts with range selection, and a photo gallery stored in cloud storage. Smart reminders use browser notifications for feeding, medication, grooming, and vet visits on custom schedules. The app includes a context-aware AI chat advisor powered by an LLM API through a Supabase Edge Function proxy, so the API key is not exposed to the browser. The AI can reference pet breed, age, weight history, meals, and vet visits when answering. The frontend is built with React 18, Vite, React Router v6, and Tailwind CSS v4, with Recharts for charts. Supabase provides PostgreSQL, authentication, storage, and Edge Functions, with Row Level Security restricting users to their own data. Deployment is on Vercel, and the project is MIT licensed.
