About this project

CWSP-shell is a project that combines home screen and Speed Dial functions for several platforms: Android (via Capacitor), Chrome (as a New Tab via the CWSP-crx extension), and PWA in Chromium. It provides a unified interface for managing applications, websites, files, and actions. Users can create multiple desktops, use drag-and-drop for links, files, and images (including setting an image as wallpaper), and customize the grid, tile size and shape, scale, and icon style. The Android version supports adaptive icons, icon packs, widgets, and the Material You color theme or manual shade selection. The App Menu allows viewing application information, changing launch parameters (action/data/extras/flags), and removing packages via the system interface. Environment elements are also implemented: taskbar, status bar, floating windows, Settings, Explorer, and Viewer. The project requires Node.js 24+ and is built via npm scripts for different target platforms. The code structure includes Java modules for Android, web interfaces, and build scripts. The UI is built based on fest/fl-ui, fest/lure, fest/object, fest/veela, fest/icon, and subsystem components. The control panel is not part of the launcher — it belongs to transfer/gateway.
