Anchor is a TypeScript-based tool that creates a governed ontology for organizational data. It sits above curated datasets, typically in a Databricks SQL warehouse, and provides a structured definition of objects, properties, relationships, logic, and actions. The tool emphasizes governance: each element records confidence, provenance, review status, and lifecycle. It includes a CLI for discovery, review, validation, publication, and rollback, plus an MCP server for agents to query the published ontology. Discovery is deterministic, using schema and statistics only, and rows never leave the warehouse. The project is organized as a monorepo with packages for core schema, discovery, registry, compiler, runtime, Databricks provider, diff, and MCP.
