About this project

AIOX Squad (Artificial Intelligence Orchestration eXperience) is an open-source AI orchestration framework aimed at full stack development, distributed on npm as @aiox-squads/core (successor to aiox-core). Installation is done via npx, with an interactive assistant to create new projects or update existing installations, preserving customizations and generating backups. The architecture follows the hierarchy CLI First → Observability Second → UI Third: the command line concentrates execution, decisions, and automation; dashboards and interfaces serve to observe and manage, not as an operational requirement. The framework provides 12 specialized agents, divided into meta (aiox-master, aiox-orchestrator), planning (analyst, pm, architect, ux-expert), and development (sm, dev, qa, po, data-engineer, devops). The two-phase flow combines agentic planning, which generates detailed PRD and architecture with human-in-the-loop, and contextualized development, in which the sm agent converts the plans into development stories rich in context for the dev agent. There is integration with various IDEs and CLIs (Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex CLI, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, AntiGravity), with different levels of hook parity and synchronization and validation commands. The CLI includes init, install, info, doctor, update, and uninstall commands, with options such as --dry-run, --quiet, and --force. The project also describes the Autonomous Development Engine (ADE), organized into seven epics: Worktree Manager, V2→V3 migration, Spec Pipeline, Execution Engine, Recovery System, QA Evolution, and Memory Layer. Beyond software, Squads allow extending the framework to domains such as creative writing, business, wellness, and education. MIT license, Node.js 18+, and multilingual documentation.
