About this project

Superset is an agentic IDE designed to run 100+ coding agents in parallel, each in its own isolated git worktree. It supports any CLI-based coding agent, including Claude Code, OpenAI Codex CLI, Cursor Agent, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, and many others, with full integration for popular agents and generic support for any terminal agent. Key features include: - **Parallel Workspaces**: Run multiple agents simultaneously, each with its own branch, terminal, and environment, and compare results to merge the best. - **Agent Monitoring**: Track all agents from a sidebar with working indicators, completion chimes, and dock badges. - **Built-in Terminal**: Tabs, splits, presets, persistent sessions, and a rich prompt editor with @-file mentions. - **Built-in Diff Viewer**: Inspect, comment, and edit agent changes, then commit and push. - **In-App Browser & Ports**: Preview dev servers in a browser pane with per-workspace port detection. - **Automations**: Schedule agent sessions for tasks like triaging issues or drafting changelogs. - **Remote Access**: Connect other machines and access workspaces from anywhere via desktop, CLI, or phone. - **Superset CLI**: A single binary to manage workspaces, agents, terminals, and hosts from any shell. - **Command Palette**: Quick navigation to any workspace, action, or setting. - **More**: Built-in skills, model picker, custom agents, workspace setup scripts, terminal presets, Slack & Linear integration, open-in-IDE handoff, custom themes, keyboard shortcuts, and bring-your-own-provider support (OpenRouter, Bedrock, Vertex, Vercel AI Gateway). Superset offers multiple surfaces: a desktop app (macOS primary, Linux experimental), a CLI, a TypeScript SDK, and an MCP server, all sharing the same workspaces. It also has an iPhone app for remote control. Installation is simple: download the desktop app or install the CLI via curl or Homebrew. Development setup uses Bun, Docker, and local Postgres, with no external credentials needed. The project is source-available under Elastic License 2.0, with the desktop app free forever for personal parallel agent use. Contributions are welcome via GitHub.
