About this project

Dungeon Explorer is a terminal-based multiplayer text adventure that uses Google Gemini AI as a dungeon master. It provides a TCP server and terminal client, allowing up to 10 concurrent players to explore procedurally narrated rooms, fight monsters, loot treasure, level up, and chat. Commands cover movement, combat, inventory, character stats, social messaging, and admin actions, with client-side aliases for common inputs. The project includes D&D-style mechanics such as d20 rolls, critical hits, advantage/disadvantage, fleeing, random events, floor-scaled enemies, XP progression, and loot rarity. It is Docker-ready and configurable through environment variables.
