About this project

trace.moe is a specialized search engine designed to identify the source of anime screenshots. By uploading an image or providing a URL, users can retrieve the exact anime title, episode number, and timestamp where the scene occurs. The project is a modular system composed of several repositories, including a web interface, a backend API for image search and database management, a Telegram bot, and browser extensions for seamless integration. It utilizes advanced image feature analysis and vector generation to perform high-speed searches across large datasets. The system is highly extensible and supports self-hosting through Docker, allowing users to index their own video collections. It integrates with PostgreSQL and Milvus for efficient data storage and vector indexing, and provides a public API for developers to build third-party applications or bots.
