gifski

Gifski is a macOS application that converts videos to high-quality GIF animations. It uses the gifski encoder combined with pngquant's features for efficient cross-frame palettes and temporal dithering, producing animated GIFs with thousands of colors per frame at up to 50 FPS. Supported input formats include any video format macOS supports, such as .mp4 and .mov with H264, HEVC, and ProRes codecs. The QuickTime Animation format is not supported; ProRes 4444 XQ is recommended as an alternative since it also supports alpha channels.
