About this project
SparkyBot is a desktop application for Guild Wars 2 World vs. World players and guilds. It watches ArcDPS combat logs, processes completed fights automatically, and turns them into short chat posts plus a full end-of-night report. The project is not affiliated with ArenaNet.
What it does
The tool parses each fight and reports quick KDR, downs, kills, deaths and damage, with optional AI commentary. Beyond individual fights it assembles one offline night report containing sortable fights, detailed player statistics, skill-share charts, boon, support and healing tables, high scores, and an Enemy Intel section. Reports are self-contained HTML files, and the Pro, Simple and Classic report levels are different views of the same night rather than three separate exports.
Version 2.2.2 ("The Spreadsheet Learned Espionage") highlights the Enemy Intel feature: comparing your squad against each enemy colour, inspecting observed professions and incoming skill pressure, and drilling into estimated subgroups, role candidates, strips, CC and build fingerprints. A Player Compare view places two squad players side by side for damage, support, healing, weapons, rotations, skill shares, consumables and trait evidence where the source exposes it. Reports ship with Graphite, Midnight, Blackout and Studio Light skins, while the desktop app offers 11 themes and remembers the chosen one.
Outputs and integrations
Destinations include Discord webhooks, Twitch chat and optional voice. Manual file processing, one-button raid sessions and guild setup files are supported. Individual fights and the final night report can be sent to separate destinations. Settings live inside the application; guild leaders can export a guild setup file that excludes tokens, passwords, account data and history.
AI is optional. Fight parsing and reports work without it. When enabled, the optional AI commentary is written to talk trash by default, and the system prompt can be edited to change tone. Only the services you configure — Discord/Twitch destinations and, when enabled, an AI provider — receive data.
Installation and source use
Requirements are ArcDPS and the .NET 8 Desktop Runtime used by the Guild Wars 2 Elite Insights parser. Installation is a downloaded SparkyBot-v2.2.2-Setup.exe from the Releases page, followed by a first-run setup. For running from source, install requirements.txt and run python bootstrap.py. Discord setup involves creating a webhook under Channel Settings, Integrations, Webhooks and pasting its URL into the app.
Accuracy and honesty in reporting
The project states that missing data is labelled unavailable rather than silently converted to zero. Enemy composition and skill pressure are derived from observed combat data, while enemy subgroups and roles remain estimates because ArcDPS does not expose everything; observed facts and estimates are labelled separately.
Project details
SparkyBot uses the GW2 Elite Insights Parser and interoperates with several community WvW log tools; exact relationships and licence boundaries are documented in an interoperability guide. The project is MIT licensed, with third-party components retaining their own licences under THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES. In-app help pages, the interoperability document and GitHub Issues for bugs and requests are linked from the README.
