About this project
Sierpe is a self-hosted server that indexes Stellar smart contracts you register, storing their complete history in your own Postgres database. It captures events, contract state changes and current snapshots, decoded token transfers (SEP-41, CAP-67 muxed), classic trustlines of SAC assets, and token movements in or out of contracts.
Key capabilities include:
- Backfilling from genesis where sources allow, including replay of History Archives for ranges beyond the ~7-day RPC retention window (via the -full image), gated by byte-equivalence proofs against RPC data.
- A REST API following getEvents v2 semantics with filters, opaque cursors, and scan status. Every response declares coverage and gaps, so empty results distinguish "nothing exists" from "not yet indexed."
- An embedded management UI at / covering the full API surface.
- Runtime contract registration via an authenticated API — no forks or custom code required. The indexer classifies contracts from their on-chain spec and follows the tip.
- Optional whole-surface Basic Auth for public-domain deployments.
- Deployment via Docker container next to an empty Postgres, with Railway, Docker Compose, or generic container options. Target cost under $10/month for typical projects.
The project is at v1.10.2 with events, contract state, token transfers, trustlines, and token movements feature-complete and running in production against mainnet. Mainnet hardening work has covered shared backfill scans, gap trimming, sparse heal plans with parallel workers, raw movement XDR, and archived-contract registration.
Roadmap items include contract-class discovery (register a wasm hash to index all contracts deployed from it) and push delivery via signed webhooks and broker sinks, with an MCP server under exploration. Licensed under Apache-2.0.
