About this project

ArchPlayer is a local media viewer delivered as a single HTML file, designed to play video files from a user's computer directly within a web browser. It operates entirely offline after the initial download, ensuring that video data remains on the local machine without being sent to a server. Key capabilities include: - Local Playback: Supports common video formats (such as MP4 and WebM) depending on the browser's codec support. - Subtitle Support: Ability to load external subtitle files in .srt or .vtt formats. - Browser Integration: Utilizes built-in browser features such as Picture-in-Picture and full-screen mode. - Zero Installation: Requires no installer or system modifications; the tool is launched by opening the HTML file in a compatible browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Brave). - Privacy-focused: Does not track user history or store personal data on the computer.
