Open Executive is an open-source AI system designed to simulate a cohesive executive team, combining nine specialist agents (e.g., CFO, CTO, CMO) into a single, consistent leadership persona. It supports spend approvals, corporate knowledge integration, and governance rules for human-AI collaboration. Features include episodic memory for past decisions, proactive scheduling, and multi-platform integrations (Slack, Discord, Telegram, email, Google Workspace, Notion, and MCP-compatible tools). The backend uses FastAPI (Python 3.11+) with ChromaDB for vector storage and SQLite for episodic memory, while the frontend is built with Next.js 15. It supports Anthropic Claude models by default but can also integrate with local or OpenRouter-compatible LLMs. Deployment options include Docker, with a managed cloud offering planned. Key capabilities: multi-agent orchestration, RAG-based knowledge retrieval (built-in MBA-level content + company documents), and a unified interface across chat, email, and collaboration platforms. The system maintains a consistent executive voice, hides internal agent complexity, and allows 'Act as me' mode for drafting emails in a leader's voice via Gmail.
