About this project

Task Planner transforms ordinary Markdown checkboxes in your Obsidian vault into a visual planning board. It scans all notes for tasks, allowing you to drag them between columns like Today, backlog, overdue, weekdays, weeks, months, quarters, years, and custom dated horizons. Moving a card updates the source task's status, due date, or tag in the original Markdown file. Key features include: - Whole-vault task aggregation with filters, folder exclusions, and archiving - Multiple statuses: Todo, In Progress, Completed, Canceled, Delegated, and Attention required - Priority levels: critical, high, medium, low, lowest - Dataview-compatible inline fields for due dates and priorities (no Dataview required) - Shortcut expansion like @today, @tomorrow, @high, and custom shortcuts - A native date picker for setting due dates - Commands for quick add, toggling status, and opening reports - Configurable time horizons, WIP limits, and ignored folders It requires Obsidian 1.8.7+ on desktop, stores tasks in user-owned Markdown files, and is licensed under GPL v2.0 (based on Proletarian Wizard).
