About this project

AdventureLog is a self-hosted, open-source travel companion for logging visited locations, planning multi-day trips, and tracking world travel progress on interactive maps. It is distributed under GPL-3.0 and can be deployed with Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes, or on homelab platforms such as Proxmox, Synology, and Unraid. Core features include location pins with dates, notes, photos, categories, tags, and multi-visit history; 2D and 3D map views with visited/planned filters; trip itineraries with flights, lodging, checklists, links, and calendar views; collaboration through public links or shared editing; and a world travel book for countries, regions, and cities with statistics and milestones. Trails and activities can be attached with GPX tracks, distance, and elevation data. The app also provides full-text search, custom categories, public/private visibility, MFA, API keys, and social authentication via Google, GitHub, Authelia, and others. Integrations are available for Immich, Strava, Endurain, Wanderer, and Google Maps. The frontend uses SvelteKit, Tailwind CSS, DaisyUI, and Svelte MapLibre, while the backend is built with Django, Django REST Framework, PostGIS/PostgreSQL, and AllAuth. A live demo and extensive documentation are provided, with a default admin/admin login that should be changed after first sign-in.
