About this project

This custom integration connects AutoPi.io vehicle tracking devices to Home Assistant, combining OBD-II diagnostic data with GPS tracking. It automatically discovers AutoPi devices in an account and registers each physical device as a Home Assistant device, with individual metrics as separate entities. Supported data includes engine parameters (RPM, coolant temperature, throttle position), fuel system status, speed, odometer, battery voltage, and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). GPS features provide real-time location, trip tracking, and speed monitoring. Users can configure update intervals, enable auto-discovery for new devices, and select specific vehicles to monitor. The integration supports multi-vehicle accounts and allows users to create automations based on vehicle conditions, such as low fuel alerts or engine start notifications. It is installable via HACS or manually, requiring an AutoPi API key and Home Assistant 2025.8.0 or newer.
