Cutter is a free and open-source reverse engineering platform powered by rizin, created by reverse engineers for reverse engineers. It aims to be an advanced and customizable reverse engineering platform while keeping the user experience in mind. Cutter is available on all major platforms including Linux, macOS, and Windows. Users can download pre-built release binaries from GitHub Releases, install via package managers (Homebrew Cask, Chocolatey, Scoop, or distribution package managers), or build from sources. A Docker image is also provided for containerized deployment. The platform supports both Python and Native C++ plugins, enabling extensive customization and extensibility. The community has developed numerous plugins and scripts, including native integration of the Ghidra decompiler and tools for visualizing DynamoRIO code coverage. Official and community plugins are maintained in a dedicated repository. Cutter provides comprehensive documentation including a user guide, contribution guidelines, and developer documentation.
