About this project

MCP-rag-with-Chromadb is a user-friendly application that enables users to set up a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) functionality. The application supports multiple document formats including PDF and Word files, and leverages LangChain for document processing and ChromaDB as a vector database for efficient similarity search. It offers a graphical interface for managing document ingestion, configuring paths, and performing queries. The software is distributed as pre-built binaries for Windows (.exe), macOS (.dmg), and Linux (tar.gz). System requirements include Windows 10+, macOS 10.14+, or Linux kernel 4.0+, with at least 4 GB RAM, dual-core processor, and 500 MB disk space.
