About this project
Remotion is a toolkit for creating videos with React. The source of truth for a video is React code, and workflows can be switched between agent-driven creation, interactive editing with drag and drop, and fully programmatic generation.
The project is organized around several use cases: making videos by using coding agents, interactive editing, and programmatic data-driven generation. It also provides automation capabilities, such as building design systems of reusable animated assets, batch rendering millions of videos, and embedding video editing into applications via the Remotion Player.
Getting started is done with the command `npx create-video@latest`, assuming Node.js is installed. Remotion has extensive documentation, including installation, agent skills, prompts, templates, components (elements, effects, shapes, transitions, sound effects, captions, fonts), rendering options (Node.js APIs, Lambda, Vercel, client-side), and app-building components such as Player and Editor Starter.
The project has a special license and a company license may be required in some cases. Community and contribution information is available in the repository.
