RedFox Python SDK is the official Python client for the RedFox data platform (RedFoxHub), aimed at developers who need to obtain public data from mainstream new media platforms in bulk. The SDK covers 14 content platforms in total: Douyin, Xiaohongshu, WeChat Official Accounts, Bilibili, Toutiao, TikTok, Kuaishou, WeChat Channels, YouTube, X (Twitter), Instagram, Dongchedi, Yiche, and Autohome, providing data collection interfaces for work search, account information, work details, comments, rankings, and more. In addition to platform data, the SDK also encapsulates general tools such as aggregation of trending lists across the web, watermark-free short video downloads, and image and material uploads, as well as AI capability interfaces such as GPT image generation, Doubao image/video generation, and AI search (Kimi, Doubao, Deepseek, Yuanbao, Qwen, Baidu). In terms of engineering implementation, the SDK is built on httpx, supports both synchronous and asynchronous clients, zero-configuration authentication via environment variables, automatic retries with exponential backoff, multipart file uploads, and provides three types of structured exceptions: RedFoxAuthError, RedFoxRateLimitError, and RedFoxAPIError. To use it, you first need to obtain an API Key from the RedFoxHub console; platform data interfaces are billed per call. This project is suitable for Python developers who need unified access to data from multiple Chinese and overseas content platforms for public opinion analysis, content monitoring, or material collection.
