About this project

ReadySet acts as a caching proxy that sits between your application and your primary database (PostgreSQL or MySQL). It is designed to improve read performance and horizontal scalability by caching the results of complex SQL queries. Unlike traditional key-value caches that require manual invalidation logic, ReadySet automatically maintains cache consistency by consuming the database's replication stream to incrementally update cached results as the underlying data changes. It is wire-compatible with standard database clients and ORMs, allowing for drop-in integration without modifying existing application code. ReadySet is built in Rust and provides a transparent way to offload read traffic from primary databases, effectively turning complex SQL reads into low-latency lookups.
