About this project
Desgrana is an open-source utility designed to process multitrack sessions recorded via Behringer Wing (W-Live) or X32 (X-Live) recorders. It demuxes interleaved WAV files into separate mono or stereo tracks without altering the audio quality.
Key capabilities include:
- Channel Identification: Retrieves channel names and stereo pair configurations from console snapshots (.snap for Wing, .scn for X32).
- Marker Export: Exports session markers in WAV, MIDI, and CSV formats for use in Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs).
- Metadata Preservation: Maintains source metadata in the exported tracks and automatically ignores empty tracks.
- Privacy: Operates entirely offline, processing files locally on the disk.
The tool provides both a graphical user interface (GUI) for drag-and-drop operation and a command-line interface (CLI) for advanced options such as custom output paths, filename prefixes, and dry-run simulations.
It is natively available for macOS, with experimental versions for Linux and Windows.
