About this project

VaultExplorer is a comprehensive Android application designed for managing encrypted data directly on mobile devices. It supports a wide range of industry-standard encryption formats, including VeraCrypt (with hidden volumes and keyfiles), LUKS1/2, BitLocker, Cryptomator, gocryptfs, and CryFS. The app features a native C++ engine for decryption and re-encryption in memory, ensuring high security by avoiding the use of internet permissions entirely. Key capabilities include: - File Management: A full-featured file explorer with support for various views, folder thumbnails, and file manager skins. - Built-in Viewers: Integrated support for viewing photos, videos (with subtitle support), PDFs, Markdown, and code files directly from encrypted volumes. - Item Vault: A built-in password manager for storing credentials, bank details, and TOTP codes, with support for importing from various formats like KeePass, Bitwarden, and CSV. - Advanced Tools: Includes an image editor, archive browser (supporting ZIP, 7-Zip, RAR, etc.), vault camera for direct encrypted recording, and storage analysis tools. - Security Features: Offers master lock via biometrics or PIN, emergency panic/duress modes, and a 'Mask Mode' to disguise the app as a standard file manager. - Automation: Provides a local broadcast-intent API for integration with tools like Tasker or MacroDroid. - Cloud Integration: Allows opening containers from external document providers (e.g., Google Drive, WebDAV) without the app itself accessing the network.
