FED-SPA (Florida Establishment Directory) is a static, no-backend project that provides a once-a-year directory of licensed massage establishments in Florida. The dataset is manually verified against the Florida DOH Medical Quality Assurance (MQA) portal and is distributed across multiple client-side surfaces: an installable PWA, a Chrome extension, Android and iOS apps, and Android Auto and smartwatch interfaces. The project is built on three core constraints: no backend or servers, no third-party libraries or trackers, and an annual update cadence. It features two tiers of data: a public, plaintext JSON list of licensed businesses, and a subscriber-only, client-side-encrypted watchlist of establishments where no license could be found. The repository includes administrative scripts for the annual data refresh, schema validation, and encryption, ensuring a single source of truth that fans out to all platforms without drift.
