No AI Slop is a skill/plugin designed for AI coding agents such as ChatGPT, Claude Code, and Codex. It addresses the problem of AI-generated writing that all sounds the same by detecting and removing 20+ common AI writing patterns. The patterns it catches include binary contrasts ("It's not X. It's Y."), throat-clearing openers ("Here's the thing," "Let me be clear"), faux-insight setups ("What nobody tells you," "The part everyone misses"), colon reveals ("The best part: it learns."), dramatic fragments ("That's it. That's the whole thing."), superficial analysis ("highlighting the team's commitment to innovation"), importance puffery ("marks a pivotal moment," "a testament to"), weasel attribution ("experts agree," "studies show"), synonym cycling, and fake-profound endings ("The future isn't coming. It's already here."). The tool offers three usage modes: editing writing to remove AI slop patterns while preserving personal voice and listing what was changed, detecting slop patterns in existing text by quoting every pattern found, and generating satirical AI slop for fun. It also checks writing fundamentals like leading with the point, using active voice, untangling hard-to-follow sentences, and preferring concrete details over abstractions. Installation is straightforward: paste a command into your coding agent or use npx. The skill is also available as a ChatGPT plugin. The repository includes the editing rules (SKILL.md), evaluation checks (eval.md), plugin metadata, and a build script for packaging.
